Closing Keynote: Never, Ever Give Up

Diana Nyad, Long-Distance Swimmer, Author

On September 2, 2013, at age 64, Diana Nyad emerged from the water onto the shores of Key West after completing a 110-mile, 53-hour, record-breaking swim through shark-infested waters from Cuba to Florida. Millions of people were moved by her incredible tenacity and determination, her triumph after many bitter failures and by the mantra “Find a way,” which helped her realize a dream that had eluded her as a young Olympian in peak form. To close out the NEW Forum, Nyad shares her story and inspires us all to find a way, no matter the obstacles.
