Yuri Hermida leads Procter & Gamble’s baby care business in North America, overseeing the growth of Pampers and Luvs brands in the United States and Canada. Pampers is P&G’s largest brand, with annual net sales of nearly $9 billion. In addition, as vice president of the brand function in North America, Hermida oversees training and career development for all marketing employees in the region. A native of Mexico, Hermida joined P&G in 1996 as an assistant brand manager for the company’s Latin American health care business. His career has spanned marketing and general business roles in six countries, five business units and three regions across developed and developing markets.Through these diverse experiences, Hermida developed a set of operating principles and beliefs that guide his approach. These include learning first, putting the right people in the right roles and focusing on fundamentals, starting with creating value for consumers and customers, having high standards and being an in-touch and transparent leader.
